  1. E. Collins says:

While hope for a roundup of strange rituals society juicy secrets, was not reading. Since it was written in late 1800, offers an interesting view of how Christian religious leaders not only considers the secret societies, but also of other religions and peoples. Muslims are the first “Turkish” and then “Mohammedans”, Hindus are “Indian” Native Americans are American Indians, Asians are “Chinese” are Jews and Jews with a grunt implied.
The author was a product of the times, and it would be interesting to read something written more recently.

  2. Craig Reade says:

In summary, this book is written by a condescending, holier-than-however, the moral supremacy of passing a book that explains why all the secret societies are evil, quoting the Bible. Of course, like all similar cases, simply MacDill denies any contradiction to his argument with nothing more than a gesture, and conveniently ignores all the cases against his argument that is in its source material (again, the Bible).

Of course, the icing on the cake is the inescapable irony that in spending so much time railing against secret societies (who really knows to prove anything) using the Bible to prove their evil nature, falls into the trap of committing the same evil, according to the Bible – namely, that God alone is man’s role disposable opinion for their actions. So, as always with people like this should be more interested in their spiritual welfare that the conviction of others.

There is much, much better exposes the secret societies from the perspective of this academic. Look elsewhere for your search.
